The Waterfalls of Cebu Island

There used to be a time when I didn't bother with invitations from enthusiastic friends to go see the waterfalls out in the countryside areas.

I always thought that we had only one place with those cascading bodies of water - Kawasan falls, and that was hours away at that time, when the roads were yet to be built.

And I also thought that Cebu was an arid island.

Not anymore.

Thank you to the Cebu Provincial Information Office for these stunning images.

A month's time is not enough to explore all of these amazing places here that refresh the eyes and soothe the soul.

  1. Just last May, we went for our second south drive adventure... the first one done 2 years ago and we just enjoyed the road going south along the east side, going up north on the west side, crossing trans Cebu and back home to Lapu Lapu City.
Our second south drive was different... we went falls hopping... only two falls sites (hopping jhapon)... Tumalog on our first day and Aguinid on our second day! Just two falls and it already made our summer adventure! Conquering the 5-Tier Aguinid falls was the best experience we had as a family so far... Thanks sir Ponz

  2. Could you organize a tour covering all these, Pons? How many days do you think will it take for an enjoyable, no-hurry tour to these places? What would be a good sequence and route?
